Gary Reilly for City Council District 39: Serving Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, Park Slope, Windsor Terrace, Kensington and Boro Park

In the next few years New York City will be at a crossroads. With a new mayor and new faces in government throughout the city, we will need an individual with the vision, passion and expertise to advocate for our neighborhoods' needs on the City Council.

Gary Reilly is already at work for us as a dedicated community volunteer -- he is committed to the continued success of our neighborhoods and its residents. He has worked with elected officials and agencies at all levels, advocating for transit improvements and for reigning in out-of-control, oversized development.

Gary has called for accessible pre-K programs for our children and for giving teachers the resources they need for the classroom. He will make sure there are housing options so longtime residents aren't squeezed out of the neighborhood. And he will advocate for adequate senior centers and continue to be a champion for livable communities with safe streets and a healthy environment.

Gary Reilly has the vision, passion and expertise to represent us on the City Council. He serves on the Transportation Committee and the Public Safety/Environmental Committee of Community Board 6, and on the boards of his neighborhood association, the Independent Neighborhood Democrats and the Gowanus Community Stakeholders Group. Gary, a practicing attorney who lives in Carroll Gardens with his wife, Mia, will be an effective councilman for all the communities in our district.

Brooklyn Paper: F Train Report Cards

"Gary Reilly, a City Council candidate who has made the F train his central issue, said that the forms 'don't ask the right questions and [offer] no room for input.'
'They ask about safety and cleanliness, but not about functional things, such as when is the service poor or how it could be made better,' he said."
